Dr Edwards-Smith is a Consultant Psychiatrist with more than 15 years’ experience in civil forensic psychiatry and general adult psychiatry.

She has extensive experience conducting independent psychiatric assessments for workers’ compensation and other medicolegal matters. Dr Edwards-Smith is recognised for providing clear, balanced, and evidence-based opinions on diagnosis, causation, treatment, impairment, capacity for work, and prognosis.

Dr Edwards-Smith has a particular interest in complex trauma, including the psychiatric effects of childhood abuse and neglect, and is highly experienced in conducting sensitive trauma assessments.
