Dr Cheng is a Consultant Psychiatrist with extensive experience in public and private practice, treating both adults and adolescents. He has held senior leadership roles, including Head of Psychiatry at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Executive Director overseeing major health services in Western Australia.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr Cheng has longstanding involvement with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists as a trainee supervisor and examiner.

Dr Cheng’s specialist interests include general adult psychiatry, anxiety disorders, workplace mental health, psychological injury, trauma and PTSD, and mood disorders. His reports are recognised for being thorough, balanced, objective, and clearly reasoned, providing practical, evidence-based opinions.
